Some other happenings in October 2011

Apple Festival 2011!!
As you know - I love the Apple Festival.  As usual, we ate a funnel cake, fried pie and lots of other good food.
And, of course, Chloe had to ride the horse :)
This year we were joined by Lydia, Julian and Lydia's friend Jonah

Great niece, Hailey came over & played on 10/7/2011
Sidewalk Chalk is Fun!
October also brought the passing of my cousin Ramona and her dad, my Uncle Curtis.  They both showed great faith and continued to praise the Lord with their very last words and actions.  Uncle Curtis got a standing ovation at his funeral = and we sincerely had Praise & Worship at Ramona's funeral.  Makes you think - what will people say and do when YOU die?  I pray that others will see His love reflected in my life - and talk about that!

Jessey Daven Jones 9/27/2011

This little lump of love is my self-appointed god son.  I never thought much about god mothers, etc... until a girl from church, Stephanie Smith, appointed herself as Chloe's god mother.  When I began to think about it - I thought - you know, each child does need someone like this in their lives - a spiritual support person who truly loves them - with a Godly love and teaches them all about God.

Stephanie Smith has done a great job - she has given Chloe a Bible, taken her all kinds of special places, shown her love and correction.

So - I have appointed myself to help Jessey Jones grown in his knowledge and love the Lord our God.  What an awesome responsibility!

Welcome to the World!

Chloe got Baptized! October 16, 2011

In the name of the Father, the Son & the Holy Ghost
Chloe and Pastor Marvin were both so happy - Not to mention her mom & dad & family!

Chloe had been saying for quite some time that she wanted to get baptized.  Pastor Marvin Smalley and his dear wife, Linda made sure the children completely understood what this meant.  Chloe said she was a little nervous, wondered why she wouldn't be baptized in the river, worried over what to wear - but was very clear with her intentions and desire to get baptized.

We are so proud of you Chloe, may your bold witness for God continue throughout your entire life!
